Glam Addict Official Review
Okay, finally back home for the night and now I can do a proper post! Sooo… let’s get started. What can I really say except she’s probably the best doll I’ve bought in quite awhile. Absolutely stunning right out of the box and nothing needs to be done to her! Luscious red lips, long raven hair and bright green eyes… ahhh… And the black & white patterned dress = LUV. The red obi style belt fastens in back with 3 hooks and then there is the lace thin belt that goes over that with a hook in front and a tie. Also comes with a skinny black belt and 2 bags. First is a little flower patterned clutch and second is a fabulous pink & black bag that I totally love. 3 bracelets. 1 hammered silver one that is awesome and 2 small cuffs, silver & red. Now that brings us to the shoes, which I was most excited about. This is the only thing I was a little underwhelmed by.
First off the black shoes do not really fit her. I don’t even know how to describe what’s going on with them and I hope it’s just my pair and not everyone elses. Well, first I should say I only tried them on with the stockings, so maybe without them it will be better. It’s like where the arch of the shoe is doesn’t match the arch of the foot so they never fully fit the feet. I don’t know. The red pair is gorgeous, but I just can’t do straps if I can’t slide the foot in with them already done up, which I can’t with these, so I won’t be struggling to get them on and through the buckle. That’s just a personal thing for me. The pink shoes I LOVE. fabulous design and I was excited about the no-heels. I actually got her balanced on them with one foot in front of the other, so it is possible, but you’ll probably drive yourself mad trying to do it. Or you’ll get lucky and wham-bam she’ll be balanced right away. Hat & fur – just not my thing because you know I’m a casual redresser.
But the doll itself is just amazing… even the hubby was shocked by her looks, in a good way. Right away he said she’d be a Holy Grail for me if I hadn’t gotten her in the lottery. So true hubby, so true… and now to the pics! (more on flickr)
