Showtime Synergy!
First off let me warn you this is a pic heavy post!
O.M.G. I completely love this doll. She far surpassed what I was expecting and her facemold and screening is so soft and beeeeyoootiful! I haven’t peeked at Jerrica, Rio or my new Giselle yet, but the plan is to debox 1 doll a day for the next 4 days with Giselle on the final day. Group shots will be had at some point as I pull out my HJ Jem. Also someone asked for a group shot of the NF girls together, so I’ll shoot Giselle, the twins and Erin together as well. Lots to look forward to!
So let’s delve into Synergy! Some of you are totally not Jem fans, so here’s a little write-up courtesy of wiki so you know who her character is:
An extraordinarily sophisticated holographic computer designed to be the ultimate audio/visual entertainment synthesizer. Synergy was created by Emmett Benton, and is in many ways considered to be his life’s work. Synergy can generate holographic images that are extremely lifelike and synched to accompanying sound-effects; rendering them flawlessly convincing, despite the fact that they aren’t solid. Synergy’s artificial intelligence, appearance, and voice are all based on the likeness of Emmett’s late wife Jacqui. Synergy was intended to be a surrogate mentor, friend, and maternal figure to Jerrica and Kimber. She manifests herself physically as a hologram in the form of a light purple-skinned woman with dark purple hair and eyes, when she chooses to physically interact; and communicates with Jem remotely via a pair of star-shaped earrings.

First let’s check out the fun packaging! It’s a fun shaped box – not a true rectangle because a portion is cut off, and then inside a panel hides the accessories in it’s own space.
And so now we move onto the doll! IT did such a great job capturing the look while making her gorgeous at the same time. Perfectly recreated the outfit and I love the sparkle they gave it when choosing the fabric.
The boots and gloves are great too. Actually the gloves are attached to the hands and are interchangeable to “normal” hands. The boots are a great shiny pink with purple trim and because IT is using the CI body, that means she can stand on her own! yay! I have to admit there is something to their big feet, LOL. Our other girls teeter on their tiny feet! And I had to take a shot of the classic symbol that represents Synergy.
She also comes with some little accessories. A gift box to Jerrica which opens and holds the Jem star earrings perfectly! So cute! Plus a master tape and some miniature screen shots that are accurate to the cartoon. (excuse the less than clear shots, I was too lazy to swap out my macro lens at that point, LOL)
And I wanted to do a closer shot of her eyes! I always wondered how they’d do her “blank” eyes like the cartoon without it looking really strange and I have to admit they nailed it! There’s a slight hint of a shadowy pupil in there but the rest is just silver and it came out beautifully!
And finally some additional shots for you to ogle… I love her facemold and cheekbones and that squarish jaw so so much!

Love, love, love these shots of Synergy!!!! I received Jem, Synergy, and Rio, but I am going to wait and open them up Christmas morning. Thank you so much for sharing your pics with us. I am so glad Synergy turned out beautifully.

So, I still don’t get the whole Jem thing, BUT, even I have to admit she is a fantastic version of the show images I have seen — IT nailed her look perfectly. I’m so glad you are loving her!
I wonder if IT will use this mold for another character some time, I wont be collecting this line but I love the mold, its different and fun.

I wonder! I love the shape, it’s very different from everything else we have – you never know where it could pop up!
I’m not a fan of Jem at all. Never got into the cartoon or especially the dolls. But there is something about this one I like. I feel like she’s weird enough that I could use her in a sci fi photo story or something. Maybe I’ll add her to the collection one day.

I’m never watched the Jem show, and won’t be collecting this line – but I can definitely appreciate a Truly Outrageous Line of dolls! I’ve seen the original dolls (eeek)….so Integrity’s re-imagining of Jem & her friends is AWESOME! Love the colors, the packaging, the accessories…and *love* the haircolor on this one. If I had unlimited space & funds, I’d get ‘em too.

Well, Jem’s a blast from my past too, and although unfortunately I lack the funds to collect these dolls as well, I’m thrilled I get to enjoy them through your blog! Gorgeously photographed, as always! I must say this sculpt intrigues me. I’m with Monkeyhaircutter – it’d be interesting to see it make its appearence somewhere in IT’s regular line some day.

Wow! Hair on you Synergy looks perfect. Did you wash it? I have just deboxed mine and hair doesn’t look as good as in your doll
