Integrity Toys Spring Unveiling: JEM & THE HOLOGRAMS
I about screamed when they unveiled Jem during our WClub event. Well, technically I did scream. Loudly. Inside my heart. I unfortunately was at the school library at a study session and I just hopped on the computer with my headphones to watch so I couldn’t fully express myself for fear of being thought of as a crazy person. I picked the computer waaaay in back and turned it towards the wall so people couldn’t see dolls all over the screen, LOL.
So let’s talk about THE HOLOGRAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously am surprised to see them come out so quickly! March people! March! So let’s dish…
Kimber – Holy Cow! my fav of the 3 and sentimental favorite. They mentioned during the webinar that they changed her pants up and did an acid wash look to them, which I think is great. And we get INSTRUMENTS! I die! So fun! I cannot wait to photograph them!

Aja! So, so very pleased with how she came out! Her coloring is great, love the hair and they got her makeup spot on! She’s just gorgeous!!

Sh-sh-sh-Shana!! I was chatting with a doll friend and we agreed that we were both worried about her football-esque hair but they did her justice! It came out great and looks right and doesn’t look “off”. So kudos to the IT designers for making purple footbal hair werrrk!

I had ordered Aja, the other two not convince me (especially the hair of Kimber) but the dresses are very nice
Hoping the final product of Kimber’s hair will be a litle better, if not I’ll definitely play with it! I had to cut my Jerrica’s to make it how I wanted.

Love. Them. At first I was all about Kimber because her face is so youthful and expressive, but the closer I looked at Aja and Shana’s faces, the more I love them. Aja and Shana are just so pretty. Especially Aja. I think she’s my fave. A lot of people are complaining that her hair isn’t as straight as the original doll’s, but that’s easily fixed.
Me too. I adore her face and yes a hot boil and that hair will be stick straight
Originally was going to get Shana only, but felt that I really wanted that Keytar and another excuse to add another “redhead”.
So yeah, can’t wait.
I’ve missed on the the JEM that I wanted though.

Loving Kimber, but I have to say I’m jonesin’ for The Misfits! (I know, so impatient!) Can’t wait to see how Integrity interprets Pizzazz, Roxy and Stormer…
So I have sorted of lusted after the JEM line since it’s announcement, but have never brought myself to buy one even though they would fit wonderfully in with my action figure/comics/FR display shelving. Came close with Synergy but couldn’t bring myself to order her.
I watched the presentation and thought they all looked nice…Kimber stood out to me the most. I’m a sucker for a red head and her face is amazing (Do we know what sculpts these gals are using btw?)
I ordered Kimber as an afterthought through my new USA dealer after trying for Yeti and Cruz, and she was the only one I was confirmed for! Ha! Welcome me to the JEM line!
Your thoughts on the split reveal events? I’m liking not having to wait 7 months for my pre-order, I just hope the next event isn’t at 4am my time like this one was!
Love them so much! Kimber’s outfit is amazing and Aja’s so soft and pretty. Shana is probably my least fav, but I want the entire line. Can wait for the other characters to come.
I am so excited about all of the jem dolls and can’t wait to get them all. I already have Hollywood Jem, Classic Jem, Synergy and Jerrica. I need Rio and have just pre-ordered Aja,Shana, and Kimber! I love these dolls. They are beautiful. I never saw the argument that people were making about Jem looking more like a misfit because this Jem doll actually looks like the cartoon Jem unlike the original Jem 80′s doll that looks nothing like her. Also, I don’t understand what people are talking about with disappointment that the dolls don’t have childish innocence? Jem and the Holograms were adults in the cartoon not children. As far as wave two goes, Aja is my favorite! She is absolutely beautiful and looks just like the cartoon! I don’t know why people are complaining about her hair not being stick straight because the cartoon Aja never had stick straight hair; her hair had body in the cartoon. Also, I think they did a wonderful job on Shana, she is beautiful also and I think they did an amazing job with her facial features. Kimber however is my least favorite because I am not a fan of her outfit and I think her keyboard looks cheap in comparison to Shana and Aja’s guitars. Also I don’t like the way they did Kimber with super dark red hair and black eyebrows. In the cartoon Kimbers eyebrows matched her hair. I think they should have made Kimber look like a true red head ( ie Ginger). However, all of these dolls are a 100% improvement compared to the original 80′s dolls that looked nothing like the cartoon characters and I think they did an amazing job recreating these characters!
Im kinda surprised that everyone loves Aja as much as they do, I kinda think she looks the worst. Im excited to see them in person tho, they are on the way! I never got Classic Jem, because I got Hollywood Jem. Now im hunting for her… ungh lol
