I’m 38, married and living in Sunny Sandy-Eggo! I just graduated with my master’s degree in Acupuncture & Herbology! Now I am studying for my board exam in August 2012 to get my license to practice – then I’m off and needling!
I plan on working here in San Diego as well as with a non-profit organization to hold health fairs on the Native American reservations here in San Diego (and hopefully throughout the US in the future). I am half Native American and so I feel a call to help this ethnic group in particular to bring them back into a state of health & happiness!
My hobbies include dancing the Argentine Tango (which I do with my awesome hubby!),
walking/hiking with my 2 wonderful doggies Amelie & Archie,
photography and traveling (my favs are Israel, Alaska & Vancouver)
and of course doll collecting!
I got into Fashion Royalty dolls in 2006 and was in heaven! I had no idea dolls could look so beautiful! From FR I began to look at Integrity’s other lines of dolls. Dynamite Girls were next for me! They were so cute & I love their mod look! Then in summer 2008 I began fall in love with the Gene doll line. Personally I love retro clothing, so I was drawn to them because of that, but didn’t think I’d like a large 16″ doll! LOL If I had only know then! And now I’m loving the AvantGuards line and I’ve fallen head over heels for the adorable Poppy Parker! In 2009 I officially became a Misaki collector too, LOL. I guess that means I like all of Integrity’s lines! Now it’s 2012 and I have to ask myself… when will it end??

Ok here’s my question and please bear with me because I am a very new collector in the world of fashion dolls.
How do I access information on Fashion Royalty Nippon new release? I would very much like to acquire Misaki/Amelie dolls. They are my favorite out of the entire Jason Wu lines. I went to FR Nippon website. I see the old dolls and no news on the 2012 line. By the time I find them on ebay the price is $$$$$
If I successfully registers with W Club for 2013, will I obtain news/preorder opportunity for FR Nippon line or is that a different operation altogether? I know they are exclusively for Japanese market…

They’re for the Japanese market, so WClub won’t give you exclusive information, and you won’t be able to preorder through them. Although I personally think it could help, because I’d assume you’d at least get information on who the new dealers are, but I”m not positive. The line was halted as they lost some Japanese dealers after the Tsunami. They will be releasing a new line either this year or next year (that’s the latest news I have heard).
They are really great dolls and do go for higher prices on eBay because they have smaller edition sizes AND because they were released in Japan and so in the US/EU we pay higher for them. Also, if you are in the US, there is a doll convention in Las Vegas and they do an event called “A Wave from Japan” and during that they sell the older dolls for discount prices along with other Japanese dolls like Pure Neemo, etc. You can find info on that convention: http://ifdconline.com/

You know – I got Japanese dealer site/email from W Club rep and when I clicked through FR Nippon icon on home page I did find photos and customer votes on 2012 Misaki line!!! They are very nice! Sent email inquiry this morning and hope to receive more info!!!
