Well, I must say that staying an extra day was really nice. I didn’t have to rush to pack on Saturday after the final event and then get up early to head to the airport. Instead, yesterday a group of us went to the city and wandered around for the day. Then even today we had the time to have breakfast before packing and our flight isn’t even for another 5 hours. The packing is a little stressful, as those of you that attend convention know, because you’re thinking everything will fit and then your suitcase fills up quicker than you imagined as you look at your pile of boxes that are still left to pack. Vero was the Convention doll (not a FR2 body – I know some people were asking). I assume it’s the new mold because they didn’t make a point to say it was the old one like they did at the luncheon today. Eugenia was in the giftset – and I TOTALLY LOVE HER! of course, LOL. Hi again everyone! Just doing another quick post with this morning/afternoon’s updates and then trying to squeeze in an hour nap before dinner, LOL, we’ll see if it really happens. Well this morning I picked up my Auden workshop doll for the flocking class. I guess I misunderstood the information, because I thought we were getting a bald head that we would be able to choose our flocking for. But instead we all got Auden’s that were already flocked. He looks great with the dark flocking though, but again, I was hoping to customize one. After that I made my way over to “The Museum” to see the displays and photograph them (check flickr). Well it’s 12:40am so I’ll keep this brief & to the point cuz I gotta get up for workshops & WClub luncheon tomorrow! Yikes! So another great evening and I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE CENTERPIECE ERIN!!! So I’m VERY happy I won her! Another fab doll in the color infusion line! I got called onstage for the treasure hunt game and i went 4th and had the Criminally Chic giftset in my hand and 2 boxes onstage that had not been called yet. I went for #1 and it was a zonk! LOL, I actually love my zonk prize, is that weird? She has now been dubbed Shatiki and will make her debut tomorrow in full grass skirt and bandeau top with lei around her neck! Wow, is it just me or does this all seem to be flying by so fast? LOL. Well today was another early day to get in line to the DG studio!!! Definitely the highlight today so far. I was VERY VERY impressed with the selection of 8 dolls plus the fashions (OMG!) and accessories. There were even some upgrade packs available at $30 and $15. AWESOME!! Oh… in line to the studio I was able to take pics of my friends workshop dolls – Poppy and Imogen (love!) It was hard to choose which I loved the most, but I ended up getting Dani (raven, using Aria facemold) and Gavin (redhead – yay!). Well, well, it was dolly overload again – or should I say that people’s credit cards will be on fire tomorrow, LOL. We had a nice dinner, there were 3 centerpieces given out and then a short presentation. The centerpiece tonight was a gorgeous Kyori! She had 2 toned auburn & dark brown hair pulled back in a bun. Beautiful strapless dress underneath a coat with a hat to top it off. Her name was No Reservation Kyori. Then on our tables was a yellow top & pants for part of our giftset! Wow, today was a blur – I think I was just so overtired that it made me feel really out of it. Anywhoo, went in to see the convention collection, took some pics, bought some dolls, didn’t really buy too much other stuff (will check it out tomorrow). Then off to lunch, then back to the room for room sales. Now I’ve got about a 30 min break before going back down to dinner. Yikes! I may go to sleep in my food tonight, LOL. I will give my impression on the collection and then I’m going to add some more pics to flickr from my real camera, so thanks for bearing with me. Well, it was a nice flight on Virgin and we made it in on time, headed straight to the hotel, unpacked and met up with everyone to do a Target & grocery run (errr… that means snacks & alcohol for the room, LOL). I’m thoroughly exhausted after not sleeping much the last few nights so it’s off to bed early and up early to get in line for registration!!!! Registration opens at 7am and the salesroom opens at 1pm. So basically it’s about standing in line all day, LOL. But it’s fun, just hanging out, talking with friends and waiting as the excitement builds hour by hour!!
