Yay! It’s a happy day when a new doll arrives to your house. I was so excited over the ToyFair releases for awhile and then the feeling went away because I won’t even see them for a few months, LOL. The good news is that the Rock Wedding dolls should be here next month!! Getting Poppy and Chip today and working with Chip makes me excited to see Romain. Honestly he (Romain) may be the first male doll I’ll keep. I hadn’t really even played with the male dolls and they seem much stiffer to work with. Not only do the joints seem stiffer, but the neck doesn’t have as much range of motion either. This made it difficult for me to photograph. Hmm… methinks this will be my next...

My girl is back from her luxurious and restful spa treatment (aka a trip to VinVisible for a touch-up). So after I rebodied SC & BG Poppy I knew they needed to work a little better together. So I spoke with Vin about what I wanted and sent her on her way. This is my first repaint of any kind, so it’s kind of a big deal for me since you know I love my IT girls as is. My Dynamite Girls arrived! So that means a study break and photographs! I used this set for mix and matching into my collection. I stole Jasper’s clothes, Dayle’s body, and parts of Reese’s outfit. The only doll I’m keeping is Reese because I think she is just lovely. I like the little braid pulled back around her hair – super cute! and she of course looks fab redressed. Thought I’d do a quick comparison shot of these 2 girls. They are definitely my favorites now of ALL the Poppy’s so far. Opposite sides of the same coin aren’t they? It is a little difficult to take group shots because 1 girl tends to be in focus more than the other but at least you’ll see the skintone comparison. How much do I love this Poppy? Let me count the ways… One, you’re so caramel-y tan… Two, you’ve got luscious lashes… Three, you’ve got those pouty lips… Four, you’re Poppy – what more do we have to say?? So yeah, I’m loving this Poppy. She’s just got a much sexier quality than previous Poppy’s which is good for my type of redressing. Although I do think she & Bergdorf will be getting upgraded to new bodies next month.
