Well, I’m thinking it will be like this all weekend long, so be prepared for several posts (hopefully!!) and here is a video that shows some of the new stuff!! So I feel like I’ve been MIA for awhile and that’s partly because it’s always a little slower with doll inundations at the beginning of the year and partly because I have become a slave to studying. I had to sell a few dolls a week or so ago to come up with $550 for my acupuncture board exam next month (yikes!). So I have been dedicating about 5 hours a day to studying the past few weeks. I will be VERY glad once the exam is over (and I pass of course!). Also got my shipping notice for my DG’s to arrive next week – yay! I’m excited to see them. I’ve been on the search for these dolls at my local stores since seeing Nevraforever’s photos of Poppy and Darla wearing these fashions. I’m always on the lookout for low priced options for my girls and these work. So first I wanted to share pics of the Carol Ferris Barbie. I ordered some for a few friends, so I used theirs in the photoshoot. Next up is the 2 versions of the tote bag that came with Ghoulia. (sorry, blurry pic) Then there are shots of Ghoulia. The B&W box is the outer box that the Ghoulia box fits into and in front is a little comic book that was included. So it seems we’re getting our first look at an exclusive Mattel doll that will be sold at San Diego Comic Con this July. She’s Carol Ferris, the character played by Blake Lively in the upcoming Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds. Carol Ferris, who runs her father’s aerospace company, hires cocky test pilot Hal Jordan (Reynolds), who later becomes the intergalactic policeman, The Green Lantern. In the comics, the romance became complicated when an alien race bestowed her the power of a crystal called the Star Sapphire. Well, I decided that this year I will join the Barbie Fan Club. Honestly I love alot of the Silkstone clothing and so this year I will purchase dolls and steal their clothing. Well, maybe I’ll end up keeping 1 or 2 Silkstones, LOL. So the BFC renewals open today and run for 1 week and then it opens to non-2010 members starting February 16th. It’s open to 7500 members and the cost for 1 year is $24.95. It’s Ken’s 50th anniversary year too, so I’m sure Mattel will do something special for the love of Barbie’s life!
