Thanks Laila for pointing me to this little stop animation film using Pullip dolls! The short animation film “Heartburn” came to life as thesis project by heterogeneous group of students from the European Institute of Design (IED) in Milan. The team of illustrators, animators, videomakers and sound designer met each others participating to the realizations of opening title of Milan Trick Animation Festival 2011, written and directed by stop-motion animation studio “Mammafotogramma”. Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve done some redressing, as I’ve been in somewhat of a “funk” and haven’t been inspired to pull anyone out. Then the IT Convention info came out and emails having been flying fast & furiously and I must say I’m excited again and am officially out of my funk. So here is Madison, my cute little green eyed redhead. The new eye chips will be green as well, but will look more like Emma’s. I wasn’t able to get a Leekeworld wig, which are my favorite, because they didn’t have any reds in stock at Denver Doll. So instead I went with Jpopdolls HERE and purchased a Hiroki wig. It’s actually nicer than I was expecting, but I think I’m still used to the feel of the heat resistant fiber that Leekeworld uses, so this feels more “flyaway”-ish, but I think it works for this little free spirited girl! Okay, so my Obitsu body and wig arrived in the mail today and Xiao Fan has been waiting a week for her new “look”. So I took the time to take pics to show a tutorial on how to rebody your Pullip to an Obitsu body. It’s SUPER easy!! My next project is to replace her eye chips to new green ones, and I will do a tutorial on that when those arrive.
