So I feel like I’ve been away alot lately (ie. I miss y’all!!!). Just been busy with “life” stuff, not fun stuff unfortunately. I’m back on the licensing train and have just submitted another petition to take my board exam in August. Yay! So that means the studying starts next week. Maria contacted me a short time ago and asked if I would take a look at some of her items and give her a critique of them. She had previously been creating fashions for silkstone dolls and recently came across FR dolls through my blog here and decided that these are the dolls she needed to sew for. Before I head out to breakfast and a friend’s child’s 1st birthday party I thought I’d get in a quick redress of Eugenia. Now she is “complete” and can go on the shelf and I can FINALLY get to Korinne & Adele to play with their hair. Of course that will be later on today, but at least I can move on to them. Eugenia is wearing a dress & scarf by PetraElise and a DG jacket. FR shoes & bag complete the look. I think she looks more chic and glamorous now and less “period” and dated. Gosh I love this Eugie! ahhhhh…. you know I love me some Eugenia!! and this one did NOT disappoint! She’s got a gorgeous faceup, the kind that reminds me of the older Eugie’s (especially in the eyes). Beautiful coloring – lighter blue around the eyes, pink-peach lips and gorgeous brunette hair. She came with a few outfits: a yellow pant with tank, blue skirt & jacket with white strapless bodysuit and of course the coral bathing suit, straw hat & blue scarf. (plus stacked silver bracelets – yay!) As you know I’m not into “period” fashions, but I thought I’d photograph her in at least the 2 outfits for you. Later she will be redressed. Gotta love this...

I had my local doll club meeting on Saturday and there are 4 of us who will be attending convention and I guess that’s pretty much all we discussed, LOL. Well, it’s a “red” day here in Shug’s doll room. I got a Target gift card yesterday so today I went there planning to spend it in the doll aisles. I get inside the door and look around and notice that they are in the middle of changing the entire store around. Super frustrating trying to find where they moved the toys, sheets of plastic hanging from the ceiling everywhere. Do you think they could just close the store for 24 hours and get it done in that time? So one of the first things I ran over to go check out in the salesroom was PetraElise’s table because as you know my dolls are crazy for clothes (oh wait, is that me?). Anywhoo, she had some fab outfits modeled by her dolls as well as a bin filled with fashions. I almost grabbed a gorgeous lemon yellow number for GP Eugenia, but when I saw this one I knew it would be for SF Eugenia, who at times can be hard to dress because of her eye makeup. Still one of the softest & prettiest Eugenia’s to me, she looks amazing in this little pale powder blue number with one shoulder decorated with beading and flowers. I added her own belt & shoes as well as some random jewelry (a mix of FR & gifts)....

Ahh, it’s the final day of Eugenia’s which brings us to… VENUS! She’s just so darn special and I love her on the NF body. She takes on such a different look because of the difference in her body.
